This simple colour test strip, from our WaterWorks™ brand, allows quick and accurate testing for Hydrogen Sulfide in water, at a high detection range.
It is a simple dip and read test strip with a precise colour chart on the back of the packaging and the results are shown within 20 seconds.
This test strip is simple and requires no other reagents or accessories. We use trace amounts of chemicals on our strips which makes them extremely safe and non-hazardous. They are considered as Articles under OSHA and do not require SDS sheets.
Notes: For best results, run test immediately after collecting a fresh water sample. Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is characterized by a “rotten egg” smell and is very deceptive in that it paralyzes the olfactory nerves so that, after a short exposure, one does not smell it. People working with high concentrations of H2S have died because their sense of smell provided no warning. Therefore, testing regularly is important.
