This Metal Check colour test strip, from our SenSafe® brand allows for quick and accurate testing of metals in water. It detects Cadmium, Cobalt, Copper, Iron (ferrous), Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Zinc and other +2 valence metals.
This is a simple dip and read test that uses a very sensitive, non-specific indicator that detects common heavy metals that can cause concern. This test can be used to detect metals in various water environments.
The results are seen within 2 minutes and the colour chart is found on the back of the bottle - no other reagents or accessories are needed for this simple test. We use trace amounts of chemicals on our strips which makes them extremely safe and non-hazardous. They are considered as Articles under OSHA and do not require SDS sheets.
This packaging is recyclable. Notes: The heavy metal test should read 10 ppb when testing filtered water and bottled water. This test strip detects metals from 10 to 1000 ppb. This test is meant to be a screening tool and will NOT specify levels of each metal present, only total +2 metal content.
